ClubGRANTS Story

A sensory room for Sunnyfield

Quality spaces for people living with disability in Tweed Heads

With the help of a ClubGRANT from the Tweed clubs, disability services provider Sunnyfield has built an underwater-themed sensory room for its Tweed Heads community — and refreshed a second room along the way.

“Sunnyfield is a large not-for-profit disability organisation,” explains Natalie Grandy, Sunnyfield’s service manager in Tweed Heads. “We rely heavily on the support of our local community to ensure that we’re able to continue to deliver these incredible services.”

“The club grant that we received was incredible. We were able to build an underwater sensory-themed room, and we were also lucky enough to do some updates to our Apple Tree room — so we got two rooms, technically, with the club grant.”

“Huge thank you to Tweed ClubGRANTS and to our local community here at Tweed. Places such as mine aren’t always lucky enough to receive the quality additions that we so desperately need — so thank you.”
