For 43 years, Shaping Outcomes has helped Tweed and Northern Rivers children with developmental delays and disabilities get the best possible platform for inclusion and success — and ClubGRANTS funding from our clubs has backed that work for more than a decade.
“Shaping Outcomes is an early childhood intervention service that services children with developmental delays and disabilities from the ages of zero to nine,” says CEO Col Usher. Over four decades the organisation has supported thousands of local families.
ClubGRANTS funding has a very particular job here: catching the kids who slip through the cracks. “The funding has been able to support children that have fallen through the gaps of the health, education and disability sectors, to ensure that they get the supports that they need,” Col explains.
That support looks like parent and family support groups, children’s groups for fine motor, gross motor, and social and emotional regulation, and school-transition programs that begin with play — building each child’s confidence to be included, at school and beyond.
